Why thoughts are tough

I.  Medium

The colors I see don't come in tubes at Mitch's Art Stuff.
They are not on shelves or contained by the HTML hexidecimal system yet.
They are not named, either.

II.  Legibility and Connection

I apologize, haphazard pile of shoes.
You're as unpaired as the lonliest electrons.

III.  Emotion

All smile but the ultimate gummi bear.
I ate all of his friends.  He's the only one who knows.
Only the last one knows.  They're all colorful and sweet and
all but the last one smile.
And I eat them.

IV.  Work

The tree groaned not from
the wind but from its roots.
I tell Danny that "whole" is indeed spelled with a W,
because when he draws a tree
he begins above the crayon grass
and so too do I wish
to believe.
