I'm giving up lazy living for Lent

The reason for your wanderlust,
said the lab-coated country doctor
is not paying attention.
Not simply to the sky at sunset
some truly sick people miss
but the sky at four oclock.
Not just the interesting
but the why to the mundane.
Paths are just places you hit so often
the grass has worn away,
although if the dirt is truer, walk there
but not for lack of footspace.
The reason for your wanderlust, said he,
is an intuitive craving for the new
to wake you up from that roof.  Vitamin E deficiency as well.
The perscription bottle read
"AWARE (mg/kg): FOR INTUITION PROBLEMS"
A trial drug, he explained.
Always a trial drug.
